Biography
Born and bred in the vibrant Parisian region of France, Mister Poison emerged onto the music scene with a bang. In 1997, he unleashed his debut single, a collaboration with David R., marking the inception of a musical journey. But rewind to 1993, and that’s when the fuse was lit – the epiphany that would ignite his passion for DJing, the art of melding records to forge entirely new sonic landscapes, the birth of the sampling and mixing concept that would define his musical odyssey.
Mister Poison’s musical voyage is a genre-blurring sojourn, spanning from the progressive realms of house to the unrelenting beats of raw and driving techno. A connoisseur of musical evolution, he deftly weaves together the tapestry of three decades of music, DJing prowess, and an unwavering devotion to electronic soundscapes. His creations, often oscillating between 128 and 135 BPM, are born from analog synthesizers, crafting ever-evolving sonic textures and fervent arpeggios.

Mister Poison’s roots lie in the DJing world, where his ever-expanding electronic culture mirrors the diversity found in his productions. The ’90s played a pivotal role, with the unbridled techno beats of Detroit and the raw power of Rotterdam’s hardcore scene, consistently pushing the envelope, often breaking the 180 BPM barrier. A seasoned bassist in rock bands, his interaction with classical musicians enriched his approach to composition. These myriad influences intertwine harmoniously, birthing a resolutely electronic sound.
Beyond his musical endeavors, Mister Poison’s artistic explorations have led him to co-write a ballet, craft theatrical pieces, compose for short films, and create sonic imprints for contemporary exhibitions. With an impressive discography that includes a debut album, 5 EPs, 4 singles, a remix, and contributions to 4 compilations totaling over 30 tracks.
His journey has been punctuated by unforgettable moments, gracing the stages of Karakoram’s legendary nights, taking center stage at the Techno Ballet of Monaco in the presence of Prince Albert, and spearheading the underground movement as a resident at Paris’s iconic Gibus Club. Let’s not forget the monumental Teknival in France and performances for mixplace.tv, including a set amidst the snowy slopes of Courchevel.
As we venture into the future, Mister Poison is hard at work, putting the finishing touches on two upcoming singles set to drop in the autumn 23’. Simultaneously, he’s crafting his next full-length album and delving into exciting collaborations.
